Almost everyone I know loves Nutella. And quite rightfully so! It is pretty darn delicious. So how about this intensely creamy, no churn Nutella Ice Cream then eh? No ice cream maker required, just mix the ingredients together and freeze. You really don’t believe me? Well, let me show you…
Here is what you will need to make approx 1 litre.
- 470ml Double Cream
- 1 x 397g Tin of Condensed Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 150g Nutella
PLAN AHEAD: Put the cream and the condensed milk in the fridge the night before.
No Churn Nutella Ice Cream Recipe
Firstly, in either a large bowl with a hand whisk or in an electric stand mixer with a whisk attachment, whisk the cream until at the stiff peaks stage. Be careful not to over whisk as it could become grainy. If it does, try adding a little milk and beating in with a spatula to bring it back.
Then in a large bowl, mix together the condensed milk and vanilla extract.
Carefully fold the whipped cream into the condensed milk in quarters. Keep going until it’s nice & smooth, being careful not to knock out all that lovely air you’ve put in.
Next, add the Nutella and carefully fold through using a spatula.
Keep going just until it’s evenly distributed.
Pour the lot into an airtight container, seal the lid and freeze for 4-6 hours.
Allow to sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes then scoop into cones or bowls and devour!
So do you believe me now? I told you! Beautifully creamy and delicious, no churn Nutella Ice Cream is no fictional creature… it’s a reality people! You could even easily mix up the flavours if you wanted to. Just make up with the cream, condensed milk and vanilla then add whatever flavours you want! Simple.
If you’d rather a more traditional custard based ice cream, you might like my lemon ice cream recipe instead.
I hope you enjoyed the post my lovelies, until next time.
