What’s more romantic than strawberries & chocolate?! Exactly, not a lot! This incredible Strawberry Chocolate Tart brings together the two in perfect harmony. And what’s that? It’s a no bake dessert too?? The perks are never ending! With a beautifully crunchy cookie crust, a sultry chocolate filling and sweet strawberries to top it off, you know you’re onto a winner!
Here is what you will need to make 1 Tart. (Serves approx 8-10.)
(Recipe adapted from Home Cooking Adventure.)
In a food processor, blitz the Oreo cookies (fillings and all) until they become fine crumbs.
In a small saucepan over a low heat or in a bowl in the microwave, melt the butter. With the processor on, gradually pour in the melted butter and continue to mix just until the cookies start to clump together.
Tip the mixture into the tin (no need to line it) and press into the base & sides with the back of a spoon. Place into the fridge while we make the ganache filling.
Finely chop the milk & dark chocolate and place into a large glass bowl. It’s important to chop as finely as possible so it melts easily.
Meanwhile, in a saucepan over a very low heat, gently heat the cream. When it’s hot but not boiling, pour the cream over the chocolate and leave for 2 minutes.
After 2 minutes, give it a good stir until it’s shiny and smooth. If you do have any lumps of chocolate left, just pop it into the microwave for 10 seconds and stir again. That should take care of it.
Pour the filling into the tin and spread out evenly.
Finally, place some clean, dry strawberries into the top then place in the fridge to set overnight. (Or at least 3 – 4 hours.)
If you like, you can spray the tart with some gold shimmer spray or scatter over some edible glitter to make it extra special. Store in the fridge and consume within 3 days.
I love no bake desserts! No mess, no fuss, just great desserts without all the hassle! This beautiful tart is no exception. It’s intensely rich and chocolatey paired up with the sweetness from those strawberries. Well I don’t know about you but I’m sold!
I hope you enjoyed the post my lovelies, until next time.
