Nutella Baileys Ice Lollies. Yes they are as good as they sound! My only advice would be, don’t get enthusiastic and add more alcohol. I’ll save you the trouble. I did exactly that and, consequently, it took me 3 attempts to get it right! Alcohol’s freezing point it much lower that water. This means it softens the consistency of the mixture and doesn’t actually set. You’ll just end up with a slushy boozy mess. Plus, it tastes absolutely AWFUL with so much booze in it! Just trust me on this one.
Here is what you will need to make 6 lollies.
(Makes about 350ml)
- 225ml Whole Milk
- 75ml Baileys
- 85g Nutella
- 6 Ice Lolly Moulds
- Food Processor
It’s really very simple to make! Put all the ingredients into a food processor and blitz for about 2 minutes until it’s completely blended together.
Place the lolly ‘sticks’ into the tops of each one & put into the freezer to set.
These need a minimum of 5 hours to completely freeze. The addition of alcohol makes this process take a little longer so don’t get impatient. I think it’s best to make them the day before they are needed to avoid any disappointments.
And there you have it. A brilliantly boozy adult pud! A tip for removing these babies from their moulds – fill a jug with some boiling water. Hold a mould in the water for about 5 seconds, dry quickly with a tea towel and the lolly should pull straight out.
You know you’re going to make these for your next Summer get together. Go on, give it a pin so you don’t forget!
I hope you enjoyed the post my lovelies, until next time.
