This incredible Microwave Mars Bar Fudge recipe is made in about 10 minutes, using only 5 ingredients and your microwave. No, I’m not joking, I’m deadly serious! It really is as easy as it sounds and it’s not too good to be true. You’re ok, I’ve already heard your car engine start. You go and get the ingredients while I tell you how to make it.
Here is what you will need to make 36 bite size pieces.
- 6 x 34g Mars Bars (x3 of them Chilled)
- 400g Milk Chocolate
- 55g Unsalted Butter, cubed
- 1 x 397g Can of Condensed Milk
- 50g White Chocolate, optional
- 20cm (8″) Square Baking Tin/Silicone Pan
If you are using a baking tin, line the base and sides with baking paper. If you are using a silicone pan, you don’t need to line it.
Chop all 6 Mars Bars into small chunks then place the chilled ones back into the fridge until we need them later.
Break the milk chocolate into a large microwavable bowl and add the butter, condensed milk & un-chilled chopped Mars Bars.
Melt in the microwave on full power for 30 seconds. Give it a good stir then heat again in 10 to 20 second intervals stirring well between each time until it’s all smooth & melted.
It’s worth noting that you can also do this step in a saucepan over a low heat too, so don’t worry if you don’t own a microwave!
Take the chilled Mars Bar chunks out the fridge and stir them through the fudge.
Pour the mixture into the prepared/silicon pan and smooth out as best as you can.
If you want to create the pretty white chocolate feathered pattern on the top, break the white chocolate into a plastic zip lock bag. Place the bag into the microwave and heat for 20 seconds, then mush between your fingers a bit. Heat again in 10 second intervals, mushing between each time until melted and smooth.
Cut the corner off the bag and pipe horizontal lines going back and forth over the top.
Then take a skewer, knife or cocktail stick and drag lines in the opposite direction up and down, creating a nice feathered pattern.
Place the fudge in the fridge to set for at least 4 hours or overnight. When it’s completely set, remove from the tin/pan and slice into a 6 x 6 grid to make 36 pieces.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge and consume within 7 days.
I mean seriously, just look at it!! The fudge itself really does taste like Mars Bar, then you bite into it and there’s chunks of more Mars Bar! Every person that’s tried this has said it’s super creamy, super tasty & made lots of yummy noises. I’d say that’s a pretty big thumbs up for my Microwave Mars Bar Fudge. Win!
I hope you enjoyed the post my lovelies, until next time.
