Easy Chocolate Pretzel Pumpkin Treats

Easy Chocolate Pretzel Pumpkin Treats | Easy Halloween Treats

This very simple recipe for Chocolate Pretzel Pumpkin Treats is perfect for getting the kids involved this Halloween. There’s no sharp knives and no oven – just some melting & decorating! All the fun without any of the boring stuff. These also come with the Mr’s stamp of approval, he’s a total lover of the salty/sweet thing!

Here is what you will need.

  • Large bag of M&M’s
  • 200-300g White Chocolate
  • Orange Food Colouring Gel
  • Bag of Salted Pretzels

Line a large baking sheet with baking paper or a silicone baking mat.

Remove all the green M&M’s from the bag. (The bonus of only needing the green ones is you get to eat all the others later!)

Break the white chocolate into pieces and place into a large glass bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds then give it a stir. Continue to microwave in 20 second intervals, stirring between each time, until the chocolate is completely melted & smooth.

Using cocktail sticks, add small amounts of the orange food colouring gel at a time until you get the colour you like. Make sure to stir well so all the colour is mixed in.

Now all you need to do is dip each pretzel into the orange chocolate and shake off the excess.

Place onto the prepared baking sheet & press a green M&M into the top.

If the chocolate starts to get a little thick, pop it into the microwave for 10 seconds and give it a stir.

Place them into the fridge to set then store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

I have to agree whole heartedly with the Mr, the salty/sweet combo works SO well! These Chocolate Pretzel Pumpkin Treats are far more addictive than I anticipated. In fact, I will probably double the recipe the next time I make them! They would definitely look the part on any Halloween party table, or even in little cellophane bags tied with ribbons for those unsuspecting trick or treaters that knock on your door.

I hope you enjoyed the post my lovelies, until next time.
